ABOUT Becoming
Making ancient wisdom available for modern families
As your child's body and mind begin to shift, you may notice your relationship changing too. Maybe they’re pulling away, testing boundaries - or maybe they’re leaning in, seeking reassurance. Either way, you know this is a precious window. A chance to deeply connect, guide, and witness them in their journey to… Becoming.
To Becoming independent.
To Becoming their own unique self.
To Becoming confident in who they are.
And for you, as a mother, it’s also your time.
To grow alongside them.
To heal, reflect, and rediscover yourself.
To come home to the woman you’re still Becoming.
Whether you come with your daughter, your son, or on your own, these retreats are for you.
All Retreats for Every Season of Life

From family bonding to personal renewal and recharging your health, each experience leaves you refreshed and inspired.

Mother-Daughter Retreat
This beautiful weekend is a chance to slow down and truly connect with your daughter, away from screens, stress, and the everyday rush. Together, you’ll explore body changes, cycle awareness, and growing up with confidence and self-respect, all in a fun and supportive way. Through playful activities, shared stories, and special moments just for the two of you, you’ll leave feeling closer, calmer, and better equipped for the teenage years. For girls aged 8-18 and the mothers who want to walk beside them with presence, warmth, and understanding.

Mothers Retreat
You give so much. This retreat is for you. Come laugh, rest, and reconnect with the woman underneath the job titles and to-do lists. Through soulful movement, unapologetic laughter, honest conversation, and the kind of sisterhood that reminds you who you are… you’ll rediscover joy and clarity, not just as a mother, but as you. It’s nourishing, down-to-earth, and full of the kind of connection you didn’t know you were missing. You’ll leave feeling lighter, clearer, and more alive, ready to return to your life connected to your purpose, play and pleasure.

Perfect for boys aged 9–14, this weekend is designed to nurture trust, build confidence, and give you tools for this important phase of life, all in a way that feels fun, safe, and real.

Why "Becoming"?
Becoming is more than just a retreat; it's a transformational experience, an opportunity to bloom and grow.
As our children grow, so do the challenges...and the opportunities.
Sometimes their struggles mirror our own unhealed patterns.
Other times, we’re gripped by silent fears: Will they make good choices? Will we stay close? Will they be okay?
At Becoming, we believe the most powerful way to support our children is to start with ourselves.
When a mother softens, heals, and reconnects with her own inner strength, her child feels it.
Whether you attend with your daughter, your son, or on your own, this retreat is a chance to pause, reflect, and transform.
Through guided workshops, movement, storytelling, and meaningful rituals, you’ll gain the tools to:
Communicate with more clarity and confidence
Understand your child’s inner world, and your own
Celebrate their coming of age with presence and love
Break generational patterns and create a new legacy of connection
You’ll share unforgettable moments—laughing, learning, adventuring, and resting. You’ll make space for real conversations and create lifelong memories. And you’ll do it all in the company of like-minded mothers who are also walking this beautiful, brave path.
Whether you’re navigating adolescence with your child or reclaiming your own Becoming...this retreat is for you.
Join us to embark on a journey of self-discovery, empowerment, and connection.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
We feel the revolution and Becoming for well balanced adults will come from supporting our children with empowering tools to build a strong sense of self.
We do this through weaving both ancient philosophy and modern teachings of being strongly connected and self-empowered.
HELLO FROM US
Meet your hosts

Daniela Cooper
Daniela Cooper is a mum of four (including 3 teens!) who is a manager in the corporate world, a hobby farmer, dancer, surfer, yoga teacher and student of life. She is a qualified and trauma-informed counsellor and somatic-focused coach. She hosts for women and improvisation workshops around the world and has extensive experience mentoring both women and men in the workplace, helping them to find their passions and balance in life. She has worked with women and children experiencing distress including refugees, those who have experienced family and domestic violence and teenagers not coping with mainstream schooling. Her own transformation has taken her from stressed and anxious to becoming a deeply grounded, joyful and (mostly!) present mother.

Kieana Rose
Kieana Rose is a Rites of Passage mentor based in the South West of Western Australia. She is the founder of Wildly Liberated, a movement supporting girls and mothers through life’s big transitions. After a decade of solo motherhood and healing from PTSD, Kieana now holds the torch for the next generation, helping girls feel supported in their emotions, seen in their truth, and celebrated in their becoming through mentoring. Through retreats, school programs, and one-on-one mentoring, she guides women and girls back to their bodies, their voices, and their power. When she’s not holding space for her children, wiping mud off their faces, or embracing every mindfulness hack, you’ll find her by the ocean, hiking, writing poetry, or belly laughing in an improv comedy workshop.
Let us support you on your journey to becoming a woman who loves her life...
FAQS
• Can I get a refund after I register?
Becoming does not provide refunds or transfers if you decide not to come or cannot make it after you register. You may transfer registration to another family, provided they pass our application process. Please consider this risk and commitment before registering. By booking, you are agreeing to our Terms & Conditions.
• Can I take more than one child to a daughter/son retreat?
We recommend attending with one child at a time to allow for deeper connection and more focused bonding. If you’re interested in bringing more than one child, please contact us to discuss options.
• Can a mother figure take my daughter/son?
Yes. ABSOLUTELY! We think of Mother as a Verb, not a noun. There will be additional documents to sign for both the parents and or legal guardian/mother figure.
• What if I come after arrival time or leave early? Is there flexibility to come and go?
Sorry, but no. You’re in for the whole deal. Once we’re on retreat, we’re there to stay—unless there’s some unforeseen emergency. Leaving disrupts the experience for you and others.
• What if there’s an emergency at home while I’m gone?
We’ll have a way for your family to reach you if there’s an emergency.
• What do I need to bring?
Once you’re signed up, we’ll send you a full list. But the short version is: toiletries and clothes (including something that you especially love for a photoshoot).
• Is it true? No mobile phones?
Very true. And even if it sounds painful, it’s probably going to become a huge gift. We will have a photographer and promise to share the pictures. Just grab them and ask to have a picture taken.
• Who are these retreats for?
Our retreats are designed for mothers with tween or teen children aged 8–18, and for mothers who wish to come on their own for personal growth and reflection. Whether you attend with your daughter, your son, or solo, there is a space for you here.
• What age range are the children?
We welcome tweens and teens aged 8–18. The retreat content and groupings are designed to support this important transitional stage into adolescence.
• I'm attending the Mothers Retreat - What can I expect?
Our solo mother retreats are designed to nourish, ground, and reconnect you to yourself. You’ll engage in the same rich workshops and embodied practices, with content tailored for your personal journey—offering rest, clarity, and growth in a supportive community.
• Is this a spiritual Retreat?
No specific faith or belief system is required. Our approach is grounded, heart-centered, and inclusive—drawing on mindfulness, ritual, movement, and meaningful conversation. The tone is gentle, respectful, and appropriate for a wide range of beliefs.
• Do we need to prepare anything before the retreat?
We’ll send you a welcome pack before the retreat with everything you need to know—what to bring, what to expect, and how to prepare emotionally and practically.
• Will there be free time?
Yes. While we offer a full and nourishing program, we also intentionally build in spaciousness for rest, reflection, and unstructured connection.
• What's included in the price?
The retreat price includes accommodation, meals, all facilitated workshops and activities, and resources to take home. Travel to and from the retreat is not included.
• What if my child is nervous or shy?
That’s completely okay—and very common! Our facilitators create a safe, welcoming environment where every participant can move at their own pace. Many children leave feeling more confident and connected than they ever imagined.
• Can I attend if I'm not bilogically my child's mother?
Absolutely. Stepmothers, grandmothers, guardians, and mother-figures are welcome. If you hold the nurturing role of “mother” in the child’s life, this space is for you.
• How are boys supported differently to girls?
While many core themes are shared—like identity, emotional awareness, and relationships—we offer tailored content and activities that reflect the unique journey of boys and girls. For boys, we explore healthy masculinity, emotional courage, boundaries, and inner strength. For girls, we include cycle awareness, body image, and societal expectations of womanhood.
• What happens after the retreat?
You’ll leave with practical tools and shared language to continue the connection and growth at home. So far all of our groups have organised to stay in touch and support each other beyond the retreat – we encourage this! We also offer ongoing mentoring and programs to support you beyond your retreat experience.
